(Specifically Cats & Dogs) a. All pets mustbe registered at the time of arrival. Service Animals must also be registered & clearly identified as such. b. All pets mustbe vaccinated, and the proper proof is available or they may not stay on the grounds. c. Except for Service DOGS, noother animals are allowed inside or in the area of camp-owned facilities. (Dining Hall, Chapels, Common Green area, etc.) According to the American Disabilities Act, Service Dogs are trained to perform a task directly related to a person’s disability. The animal’s owner will be wholly financially responsible for any fines that may occur due to unsubstantiated claim(s), or incidents of injury. In Common areas, Service Dogs must remain with the person it is servicing. d. Pets are allowed in the cottage owner’s residence, on the cottage owner’s lot, and in designated areas. Owners will be nearby while the animal is outside. While outside, animals shall be kept on a leash or lanyard not to exceed 15 feet or in a fenced-in area. They may not enter the roadway unleashed or run at large. e. Excessive barking or noise from animals will not be tolerated. If excessive noise continues, the owner may be asked to remove their pet from the campgrounds after an initial warning. f. Excessively aggressive animals ~ The owners will be asked to remove their pet(s) from the campgrounds. g. There is a designated DOG WALK on the perimeter of the grounds. All dogs are to be on an attended leash while walking to and from the area. h. Animals must be cleaned up after. Failure to clean up after their animal may result in asking the owner to remove their pet/s from the grounds. i. We strongly recommend that cottage owners (with animals on the grounds) display a sign that demonstrates that there is a specified animal present in the immediate area. j. All parents are responsible for their children’s actions around any animals on the campgrounds. k. The animal’s owner will be wholly financially responsible for any bite or personal/property damage that may occur by their animal. WCHCA shall be held free of liability if a bite or personal/property damage occurs. Adopted 2023
